About Healing Spaces Wellness

Healing Spaces Wellness was founded by Occupational Therapists, Cath Valentine and Marlene van den Berg through a shared passion for creating meaningful spaces where people can learn, grow, heal, and connect.

Drawing on their combined experience in mental health, coaching, therapeutic practice, group facilitation, and personal development, they developed the Healing Spaces Method™ — an approach that combines reflection, experiential activities, practical tools, and community support to help people create meaningful and lasting change.

At the heart of Healing Spaces is the belief that healing and growth happen not only through insight, but also through shared experience, connection, and practice. Through groups, workshops, retreats, and resources, people are invited to reconnect with themselves, learn from others, and build healthier, more sustainable ways of living.

Today, Healing Spaces offers supportive spaces for people seeking greater awareness, balance, wellbeing, and participation in everyday life.

A Small Beginning

Understanding why things feel hard does not change everything overnight.

But it can be the beginning of a different conversation with yourself.

A conversation rooted in curiosity rather than criticism.

In compassion rather than pressure.

And in small, sustainable steps rather than another attempt to start over.

We hope this guide offers you a little more understanding, a little more gentleness, and a little more hope.

Warmly,

Cath & Marlene
