12-Month Facilitated Group Journey

The Healing Spaces Method - A Year of Becoming

A structured, supportive space for people who want to live with greater steadiness, intention, and participation in everyday life.

Whether you feel deeply stuck and overwhelmed, or simply know you would benefit from more support, accountability, and meaningful community, this program offers a gentle but structured way of engaging with change over time.

Many people know what helps them — yet still struggle to sustain momentum, follow through consistently, or create rhythms that feel manageable and meaningful in everyday life.

This program is designed to support a gradual shift from emotional exhaustion, inconsistency, and overwhelm toward greater steadiness, self-trust, follow-through, and participation in life again.

Through weekly live group sessions, ongoing community support, and guided integration practices, the work unfolds slowly, relationally, and in a way that can be lived — not just understood.

The year also includes a 2-night integration retreat, offering a shared space to pause, reflect, and embody the work more deeply at an intentional point within the journey.

This is not a quick fix, a drop-in group, or a self-paced course.

It is a carefully paced container for people who are ready to engage in a slower, more supported way of creating meaningful change over time.

Current Intake Starting in August 2026

Registrations close 27 July 2026

A short conversation to explore whether the program feels like the right fit for your needs, timing, and current capacity.

What A Year of Becoming Is

A Year of Becoming is the primary way to experience the Healing Spaces Method.

Over 12 months, the process is designed to support you in:

  • feeling calmer and more emotionally steady

  • rebuilding energy, structure, and momentum

  • following through more consistently in daily life

  • developing healthier rhythms, boundaries, and routines

  • reconnecting with meaning, creativity, and participation in life

Over time, this process is supported and deepened through a dedicated integration retreat, where the work is given space to settle and take root.

How the Journey Is Held

The year is shaped around consistent weekly practice, shared reflection, and ongoing support over time.

Weekly Live Group Sessions (on Zoom)

You’ll take part in weekly facilitated group sessions held live on Zoom.

Sessions are experiential rather than lecture-based, combining:

  • guided practices and reflection

  • gentle teaching and discussion

  • creative and embodied exploration

  • space for integration and meaning-making

You are always invited — never required — to share what feels right for you.

A Year of Becoming Resource Hub

You’ll have access to a private online resource hub throughout the year, including:

  • guidance and orientation

  • pillars and principles of the Method

  • session resources

  • reflection prompts and practical tools

The hub is designed to support the live process, not replace it.

Private WhatsApp Group

Each intake includes a private WhatsApp group with clear boundaries and gentle facilitation.

This space offers:

  • reminders and reflection prompts

  • ongoing encouragement

  • a sense of connection between sessions

It is intentionally low-volume and optional.

The Integration Retreat

A 2-night in-person retreat to consolidate and deepen the work

As part of A Year of Becoming, participants are invited to a 2-night integration retreat held during the year’s journey.

Rather than marking a beginning or an end, the retreat serves as a shared point of consolidation — offering time and space to pause, reflect, and deepen the work in an embodied way.

Depending on your intake, the retreat may be experienced earlier or later in the year. This is intentional. The work you bring to the retreat, and the work you carry forward from it, will be shaped by where you are in your own process.

The focus of the retreat is not on learning something new, but on integration. Many participants find that the retreat helps the work feel more real, integrated, and possible to carry into everyday life.

During this time, we will:

  • reflect on what has been emerging in the work

  • consolidate practices and insights developed through the Method

  • explore how this work is living in everyday life

  • reconnect with self and others in a grounded, embodied way

The retreat is held with the same care, pacing, and guiding principles that shape the rest of the program.

Practical details

  • Duration: 2 nights

  • Timing: 23 - 25 October 2026

  • Focus: Integration, reflection, and consolidation

All retreat facilitation and materials are included in the monthly cost of the program.

Travel, accommodation, and meals are not included, allowing participants to make choices that best suit their needs and circumstances. Further details about the retreat location and logistics will be shared during the year.

The retreat is not a separate event, but an integrated part of the year’s process, supporting both what has come before and what continues afterward.

What You Can Expect To Develop

Over the process of the year, participants should notice:

  • increased emotional steadiness and self-trust

  • feeling less stuck and more able to move forward

  • improved follow-through with daily responsibilities and routines

  • greater awareness of needs, limits, and rhythms

  • more consistent engagement in work, relationships, creativity, or self-care

  • a stronger sense of meaning, direction, and participation in life

Change is supported gradually and sustainably, not through pressure.

Commitment & Attendance

A Year of Becoming is full a 12-month commitment.

Weekly sessions are live, and while replays are available, the value of the program lies in ongoing participation and rhythm.

This structure is intentional — healing benefits from continuity. Many people find that consistent participation helps reduce the cycle of starting over repeatedly on their own.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is A Year of Becoming?

It is a year-long, facilitated group journey grounded in the Healing Spaces Method. It combines weekly live experiential group sessions, guided reflection and practices, and ongoing community support.

It is designed to support sustainable healing, emotional regulation, and meaningful change over time — not quick fixes or short-term motivation.

Is this a course, therapy, or coaching?

A Year of Becoming is not a self-paced online course, and it is not individual psychotherapy.

It is a therapeutic, experiential group process informed by occupational therapy, trauma-informed care, and nervous system principles. While it can complement individual therapy, it does not replace it.

Do I need to share personal details in the group?

No.
Sharing is always optional.

You are encouraged to participate in ways that feel safe and appropriate for you. Some people speak regularly; others reflect quietly or engage through the practices. All forms of participation are respected.

What happens in the weekly Zoom sessions?

Weekly sessions are live, facilitated, and experiential. They may include:

  • grounding and regulation practices

  • guided reflection

  • gentle psychoeducation

  • creative or embodied exploration

  • integration and meaning-making

Sessions are structured but responsive to the group.

What if I miss a session?

Life happens.

While regular attendance is strongly encouraged, temporary access to audio recordings may be made available by request for participants who were unable to attend live sessions.

That said, the value of A Year of Becoming lies in rhythm and continuity, so it works best when you attend all the live sessions.

How does the WhatsApp group work?

Each intake has a private WhatsApp group that is facilitated with clear boundaries.

It is used for:

  • gentle reminders

  • short reflective prompts

  • a sense of connection between sessions

It is intentionally low-volume and optional. It is not a discussion forum or crisis space.

Is this suitable if I’m already in therapy?

Yes — many participants will engage in A Year of Becoming alongside individual therapy.

A Year of Becoming can support integration, self-understanding, and daily application of therapeutic work. If you’re unsure about suitability, you’re welcome to reach out before enrolling.

What if I’m struggling emotionally during the year?

A Year of Becoming is designed to be supportive, paced, and ethically held. However, it is not a crisis service.

If significant distress arises, you may be encouraged to seek additional individual support alongside the group. Clear boundaries are in place to protect both participants and the container.

Is there an assessment or application process?

Currently, enrolment is open during set intake periods. If you are unsure whether A Year of Becoming is the right fit, you’re encouraged to contact us before enrolling.

Intakes include a screening and registration process to support safety and alignment.

What is the time commitment?

A Year of Becoming is a 12-month commitment.

This includes:

  • weekly 60 minute live Zoom sessions

  • Minimum of 15 minutes per day (1.5 hours per week) for self-reflection or practices

  • optional engagement with the online hub and WhatsApp group

This extended timeframe is intentional — sustainable healing benefits from consistency and time.

What payment options are available?

To support different circumstances, the following options are available:

  • Monthly payment (12 months)

  • Gentle Pace Option (15 months)
The same total investment, spread over a longer period for those who need more financial spaciousness. R1600 per month for 15 months

  • Paid in Full
A single upfront payment with a bonus of 4 one-on-one 30 minute integration sessions for those who prefer to settle their commitment at the start.

All options provide the same 12 month access.

What is your refund or cancellation policy?

Because A Year of Becoming is a facilitated, time-bound group process with limited spaces, we encourage participants to consider their capacity and readiness carefully before enrolling.

Participants wishing to withdraw from the program are required to provide 30 calendar days written notice. A cancellation fee equal to one month’s program fee will apply upon withdrawal.

Participants who have paid the annual upfront fee may request cancellation within 7 days of signing the agreement and prior to the start of the program. Once the program has begun, upfront payments are non-refundable.

If you have questions or concerns before enrolling, you are warmly encouraged to reach out.

How many people are in each group?

Group sizes are limited to support psychological safety, connection, and quality facilitation. Exact numbers may vary slightly by intake.

How do I know if this is the right time for me?

If you feel drawn to:

  • a slower, deeper approach to healing

  • structure that is compassionate rather than demanding

  • support over time rather than short bursts

then A Year of Becoming may be a good fit.

You don’t need to feel “ready” — just willing to engage.
